Portion Boys & Sonja Lumme. Eläköön Elämä

For their track Eläköön Elämä, Portion Boys & Sonja Lumme wanted an impressive, ready-made backdrop without the need for a multi-day location shoot. The solution was the 7 × 3 metre LED wall at Nestruction Studios, which enabled a shoot-ready environment to be produced right in the studio.

We filmed the video directly in front of the LED wall. The wall acted as a static background, so camera tracking and a real time virtual environment were not required. The shoot remained simple and controlled.

The glossy, reflective look of the floor was achieved with a plexiglass surface that reflected the light and graphics from the LED wall directly into the shot. This created an impressive result reminiscent of a location shoot, without requiring heavy compositing in post production.

The ready-made background on the LED wall sped up the shoot day and reduced the need for post production. The end result was an impressive music video that was wrapped efficiently within a single studio day.
